Hope

"Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Blessed are those who are not quick to judge: for they have empathy.

Blessed are those who avoid embarrassing others: for they have compassion and tact.

Blessed are you who will listen: for your interest goes beyond self.

Blessed are the patient: for they are willing to wait on the Lord.

Blessed are those who believe God's Word: for they have reason to hope.

Blessed are those who have hope in the Lord: for they have reason to live.

Be useful or useless; they both start with "U."

If fear of losing prevents your trying, you have already lost.

If you're going nowhere you are sure to get there.

If we all waited for inspiration, most of us would end in desperation.

We have no choice about time passing, only how we pass the time.

Inspiration may get you started, but determination will get you there.

The smaller we are, the more we magnify the faults of others.

Wise is the one who recognizes his own faults as quickly as he recognizes the faults of others.

Though gratitude is near extinction, it is apt to be found in contented people.

Happiness is found in the attitude of gratitude.

To be grateful is to be rich.

Gratitude comes easily when things don't come too easily.

Ingratitude is a thief that robs folk of their happiness.

Giving is vital, but there is a critical shortage of grateful receivers.

A grateful receiver may be giving more than the giver.

Be generous: give a "Thank you."

"In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."

Success is found in obeying God's Word. So... what causes failure?

Two things we should never worry about; what we can fix and what we can't fix.

Two more things we need not worry about; what we have and what we can live without.

Every moment of the past was preparation for today. Let us awake and absorb every moment of the way for tomorrow will soon Be TODAY.

I Love the early morning time before the world begins to yawn: A quiet time with God alone, a while before the dawn. Though troubles may surround us as problems fill the day; things work out much better when we first take time to pray.

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths."

The world's loud raping voice forced upon us without a choice: Noise, crowds, push, hurry, rush, leave it behind. Look for the hush of a quiet space to allow release of the healing balm from the Prince of peace; as we listen for a calming word where the small voice may still be heard.

Oh, for the day of wisdom when man considers man; respects the feelings of others, together walk hand in hand. Oh, for the day of wisdom when peace replaces strife; and the world at last discovers Love is the real source of life.

If your looking for wisdom, don't look where anger lurks; where there's hate and resentment, these are not wisdom's works. Look for kindness and patience; a willingness to share. Seek the place where Love abides, you'll find wisdom there.

God has a purpose: A divine reason for everything in His perfect season. God's way is good. God's way is right. Through His Son We see the light. Knowing He cares and understands, We place our lives in His Loving Hands.

It takes pain to purify, sacrifice to justify, suffering to sanctify, forgiveness to nullify, What chance have I, except in Christ? The world pacifies, Jesus satisfies.

I am a child who wants to know. Teach me, Lord, that I might grow. Just like a child, I cling to thee, lift me up, that I might see. I am a child, so very small. With your help, I will grow tall. A little child, not very smart-help me learn to do my part. When night is dark, I will not fear; for I know you're always near.

My heart overflows with the wonder of Love and the thought of all it can do... How it mends the broken, patches the worn, relieves the weary, and repairs the torn. Love remembers the loneliness, renews the old, moves the timid, restrains the bold. Love strengthens the weak, forgives the bad, sweetens the bitter and gladdens the sad. Love lightens the burden, calms the storm, seeks the forgotten, and lifts the forlorn. Love comforts the bereaved, helps the oppressed, feeds the hungry, and aids the distressed. Love refreshes the famished, soothes the sore, consoles the troubled, and more, so much more!

THE WEDDING POEM: To Love is a privilege given by God, one of the major miracles; That He who is Love would share a part of the essence from His inner heart, Joining these two in Love. Through each unique, now become one: One in spirit, One in desire, to please God and to please each other. Enduring is the bond, honored is the union, hallowed are the joys of such Love. Praise to the Father above who, with His created has shared His Great Love.

There are times when the heart must be broken for Love to flow freely through. For the heart that has never known sorrow is able to Love but a few.

O Lord, I feel like running away: Crying, yelling or screaming today or maybe I'll just disappear, anything to leave from here. My co-workers are unconcerned about commitments they have spurned. If I weren't so tired I'd have a fit. Maybe it's time for me to quit. Oh Lord, I'm starting to sound like them. Forgive me Lord, I'll do as you ask. But Lord I need your special strength, for I have already gone the length. You say they need the same as me? Oh my Dear Lord, how can it be? Your asking me to share your Love, and this will draw strength from above? Oh, why didn't I see before? You always give what I need and more. Thank you, for seeing me through the day. In Jesus' victorious strength I pray. Amen

Man took a wire and made a bulb, and made a light for you. God placed a sun in the sky, lighting a world or two. Man engineered an object that stirs up quite a breeze. God's simplest whisper moves mountains, rivers and trees. Man put metal together to make a flying machine. God made a living creature that flies on its own steam. Man made a ship that can dive and a boat that moves with a sail. God made fish to swim and dive with only a swish of the tail. Years are added to the life of man. It's amazing what man has done; but God gives life everlasting to those who believe in His Son.

The other day as I knelt to pray, I thought I heard My Savior say, "How can this earth refuse such Love I have so Lovingly given? How can it hold so tight, so firm, the blossom of Love within its bosom? I planted the seed, watered with tears, wooed with gifts of Love. How can this earth refuse such Love I have so patiently given?" As I stood to my feet and remembered my Lord; How He died on the cross, how His heart broke in two for me and for you; I can scarce understand how even one man could turn Him away. How can this earth refuse such Love Our Lord has eternally given?

Satan ain't gonna win on me no more, 'Caus I foun' what I been lookin' for. Jesus fought the battle and He won the war. Now Satan ain't gonna win on me no more. I been wastin' my tears and wastin' my years, 'Caus I was wrapped up in a heap of o' fears, but Jesus fought the battle and He won the war. Now Satan ain't gonna win on me no more.

Truth is; and there is nothing we can do to change it. We can't change truth, but it can change us. Truth, as a light, shows the way.

"Thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ."

Jesus said, " I am the light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in the darkness.  John 12:46

We do not need a special day to bring you to our minds.
The days we do not think of you are very hard to find.
Each morning when we awake we know that you are gone.
And no one knows the heartache as we try to carry on.
Our hearts still ache with sadness and secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you no one will ever know.
Our thoughts are always with you, your place no one can fill.
In life we loved you dearly; in death we love you still.

There will always to be a heartache, and often a silent tear.
But always a precious memory of the days when you were here.
If tears would make a staircase, and heartaches make a lane,
We'd walk the path to heaven and bring you home again.
We hold you close within our hearts; and there you will remain,
To walk with us throughout our lives until we meet again.
Our family chain is broken now, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Dedicated to the memory of Robert J. Reeves, my dad, and all our loved ones  with Jesus.
